Sunshine Van–Mellow Yellow

Not many of those old vans on the road today. In the movie Little Miss Sunshine, the family called it a yellow bus. I have not seen one on the road for many years. Only in the movies, so let’s take a look at these roomy vans one more time.

You could put a stereo with speakers inside the van. Plush pile shag carpets covered the floors, walls and the roof of the van’s interior. A real play room for adults. With high gas prices and strict emissions tests these sunshine vans have gone the way of the dodo bird.
Here’s a trip down memory lane.

Note: They haven’t stopped building vans. Vans today–more accessories and gadgets and better gas mileage too.
