Eco-friendly Scrap Car Towing ~ Recycling Scrap Metal

Scrap Car Breaking News

“PUTTING MY TWO CENTS IN”
I was checking the internet about recycled products. I found flagstones made out of “50 plastic shopping bags” (87%) and recycled rubber stones in cobblestone and various designs. Looks great! The recycled materials are really jumping. I ran across this car that was made from recycled material. They start out with stainless steel panels from old appliances. Body panels from a kayak and a doghouse.

The Little PeaPod that could

They started out to make it look like an “Atom”. The atom is a souped-up go cart in my opinion. Metal grids on the sides. Single passenger that rides 6 inches off the ground. What Chrysler came up with was the “Pea pod”. The engine came from a crash vehicle (Acura). What’s interesting is that it races from 0 -60mph in 4.5 seconds. That is startling. One interesting aspect is that an iPhone can be used as the ignition key for this vehicle. When I heard that I nearly flipped. It is an electric car. I suppose it makes sense. But using your iPhone to start up a car. I had to share this story with you. There’s more. Now, here is a whole new meaning for “putting my two cents in”. In England it would be “my tuppence worth”. That’s exactly what is costs to drive the Pea Pod for one mile: 2 CENTS at 25 miles per hour. The cost of the car is $12,500. Not bad when you are driving 2 cents a mile. This is inspiring. I can see these little pea pods running around.
